„Participants of all ages, with different
cultural and activist backgrounds and mig-
ration histories share experiences, stories
and information about cooking, eating,
and food politics in a half-day workshop
followed by a meal. The artist and activist
Fatuma Musa Afrah (United Action Women
& Girls e. V.) as well as other multipliers
and food activists exchange ideas with the
participants on the following topics:
cooking experiences, practices, recipes
and ingredients, migrant food, supply
chains, production conditions, environ-
mental influences, food sovereignty,
diversity of varieties, care work and gender
roles, resistance and freedom, migration
stories, and solidarity.
By sharing experiences on the various
aspects of cooking and nutrition, the
project aims to promote empowerment
and solidarity among women of different
generations, cultural backgrounds, and
migration experiences.“
